“Doubly lucky”She discovers a winning ticket while cleaning the garage!
Montréal, January 23, 2025 — Laurentides resident Sandra Turrin made an incredible discovery while cleaning out her garage: a winning ticket worth $500,000 from the August 13 Lotto Max draw! “I feel doubly lucky: I won and found the ticket before the deadline," said the winner when claiming her prize.
Highlights
- Sandra Turrin found the winning ticket she had purchased this summer in a grocery bag while cleaning out her garage.
- Before throwing it away, she had the good idea to check it and was stunned to discover it had won a $500,000 prize in the August 13 draw.
- Turrin plans to use this amount to repay a portion of her mortgage.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Jean Coutu pharmacy on Boulevard Saint-Jacques in Boisbriand.
We remind lottery players that the prize claim deadline for draw-based lottery games is one year from the draw date shown on the ticket. Customers can check their tickets easily at retailers, on the Loto-Québec website and via the Loto-Québec app.
