Montréal, May 1, 2025 — Marie-Benedicte Hoareau, from the Bas–Saint-Laurent region, won $1,000,000 on the Loto-Quebec gaming website. The gas station co-owner won this amount in the April 11 Québec Max draw and could not believe her luck.

• The day after the Québec Max draw, the woman in her thirties discovered she’d won when she checked her online account. “I couldn’t believe it! I contacted my spouse, and he didn’t believe me either!” she said. She convinced him by sending him a screenshot of the prize she won!
• Hoareau plans to use her windfall to buy a car and make investments.
